NCCI has data showing that:
1-Medical costs for the obese are 6.8 times more than for the healthy weight employee,
2- The highest WC costs are borne by employees with the highest risk profiles, and
3- Employee claim recovery is hindered by comorbidities.
Employers have long thought that safety was a duty, but wellness personal. In fact, they are inextricably connected with ERM's hanging in the balance!
